Privacy Policy

This policy explains what ShankTracker (“we”, “us”, “the app”) collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have over your data. We tried to write it like a person, not a lawyer.
Who we are
ShankTracker is an iOS app that helps tennis players log matches, workouts, lessons, mental check-ins, and tournament results. The bundle identifier is com.shanktracker.app.
What we collect
- Account info (Apple Sign-In). When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and an email address (which may be a private Apple relay address). That's it — we never see your Apple ID password.
- App content you create. Matches, workouts, lessons, mental check-ins, profile details, saved tournaments, and ladder activity. You typed it; we store it so you can see it across sessions.
- Push notification token. If you enable notifications, iOS gives the app a device token so we can send reminders and updates. We do not use it for tracking.
- Basic technical info. Standard logs from our backend (e.g., timestamps, error traces) used to keep the app running and debug issues.
We do not collect your contacts, location, photos, microphone, health data, or any advertising identifiers. We do not use third-party analytics or ad SDKs.
Why we collect it
- To create and authenticate your account.
- To save and sync the data you log so it's still there when you reopen the app.
- To send notifications you've opted into.
- To diagnose crashes and improve stability.
Where your data lives
Your account and content are stored using Supabase, a backend platform that hosts our database and authentication. Supabase data is hosted on infrastructure operated by reputable cloud providers. Apple Sign-In is provided by Apple. We share data with these providers only as strictly necessary to run the service, and they are not allowed to use your data for their own purposes.
We do not sell your data, rent it, or share it with advertisers. Ever.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently remove your matches, workouts, lessons, mental check-ins and profile from our active systems within 30 days. Backups containing your data are rotated out within 90 days.
Your rights
- Access — view your data inside the app at any time, or email us for an export.
- Correction — edit any entry directly in the app.
- Deletion — delete individual entries in-app, or delete your entire account from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. You can also email us and we'll handle it within 7 days.
- Withdraw consent — revoke notification permission from iOS Settings, or sign out at any time.
Children
ShankTracker is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. No service can promise perfect security, but we take it seriously and design the app to collect as little as possible in the first place.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
